Step1: Creating a user to maintain the all domain activities
Syntax : CREATE USER USER_NAME IDENTIFIED BY PASSWORD;
In my case Infa_dom is the user. Please find the below screen shot
Step2: Unzip the informatica software folder and double click on the setup file.
choose the option install 9.0.1 or if you have older version of informatica server on your machine then choose the option Upgrade informatica.
Click on Next
Step3: In this step you need to just verify the per-requisites required for informatica server installation.
Click on Next
Step4: In this step you need to provide the valid license key path as well as informatica installation directory.
Click on Next
step5: It will show the pre installation summary
Click on Next.
Step6: Installation in progress
Once install process completed click on Next.
Step7: In this step we will create a domain for the informatica
Click on new domain unless you have existing domain and uncheck the Enable HTTPS for Informatica Administrator.
Click on Next
step8: Very important one, here we need to provide the details of domain user and database address,
leave the JDBC parameters as default.
After entering the valid details the click on Test Connection if it is successful the click on Next.
Step9: Provide user name and password for domain.
Recommended not to change the Domain name,host name,node name,port number. keep it as default.
You can change the user name and password. Don't forget the password.
Click on Next
Step10: Uncheck the Run Informatica under a different user account.
Click on Next.
Step11: We have done with the sever installation and domain creation.
Now we need to configure Repository service and Integration service.
Click on Done.
Now you need to configure the repository. Please follow the link to do the same.
